OffSec SEC-100 (OSCC) self-paced is included in OffSec's Learn Fundamentals subscription. Macksofy's mentor-led bootcamp + exam prep is ₹60,000 (EMI available).
Different vendors. SEC-100 (OSCC) is OffSec's foundation cert and the natural stepping-stone into the OffSec ecosystem (OSCP+, OSWA, OSDA). Security+ (CompTIA) is the vendor-neutral DoD-compliant equivalent. SEC-100 leans more practical; Security+ leans more knowledge-test.
Not strictly required, but strongly recommended for absolute beginners or career-changers. SEC-100 covers the networking / Linux / Windows / scripting foundations that OSCP+ assumes you already have. Skipping it is fine if you have 2+ years of IT or development experience.
Yes for career-switchers, engineering students and IT pros transitioning to security. The OSCC certificate signals foundational competence to junior SOC / security-engineer hiring managers. Most learners use it as a 6–8 week stepping-stone into OSCP+ or OSDA.
OSCC is a knowledge + practical hybrid based on 10 OffSec learning paths (Networking, Linux, Windows, Scripting, Web, AD, SecOps, Crypto, Vuln-Mgmt, Pentest Methodology). Macksofy includes one mock exam at the end of the bootcamp.
SOC Analyst L1 (₹4–6 LPA), Junior Cybersecurity Engineer (₹4–7 LPA), Security Operations Trainee (₹3–6 LPA). Strong launching pad — most students move to a specialisation (OSCP+ / OSDA / OSWA) within 6–12 months.
OSCC is hands-on and oriented toward the OffSec career stack. CEH is more breadth-knowledge plus an entry exam, often required by Indian government / defence employers. Career switchers without an HR-driven CEH requirement: pick OSCC. Roles requiring CEH on the JD: do CEH first, then move into OSCP+.
