OffSec's Learn One subscription has been around long enough that we now have hundreds of Indian buyers' worth of data on whether it's actually worth it. Short answer: yes, but not in the way the marketing suggests. Here's the honest breakdown.
What Learn One actually includes
- 12 months of access to one course (PEN-200 / OSCP, PEN-300 / OSEP, WEB-300 / OSWE, EXP-301 / OSED, SOC-200 / OSDA)
- Two exam attempts within the 12-month window
- Continuous lab access (no 30/60/90-day windows)
- Access to the OffSec Learner community + monthly Q&A
- OS-12 (one of the older bundle codes) — variants depending on the path you pick

When Learn One is worth it
- You expect to use 6+ months of lab time (most working professionals do)
- There's a real chance you'll need a second exam attempt
- You'll do continuing-education exam updates (PEN-200 syllabus refreshes)
- Your employer reimburses on a per-cert basis (most do)
- You're targeting OSEP, OSWE, OSED — premium certs where retake fees alone justify Learn One
When standalone PEN-200 is the better buy
- You're confident you'll pass first attempt (do the OffSec PG Practice and HTB ProLabs first)
- You can finish the course material in 60-90 days (full-time pace)
- You're already past 50% of the OSCP-level material via free resources
- You're personally paying out-of-pocket and ROI matters more than buffer time
The salary maths that makes Learn One make sense
An OSCP holder in India makes a median ₹13 LPA mid-level vs ₹6 LPA for a non-certified pen-tester. That's a ₹7 LPA delta or ~₹58,000/month. The Learn One investment of ₹1.84L pays back in 4 months (see the full OSCP price breakdown in INR). With OSEP layered on, the delta is closer to ₹15 LPA and the payback drops to 3 months.
How to pick the right course path
- PEN-200 / OSCP — 95% of buyers should start here
- PEN-300 / OSEP — only after OSCP, for AD + EDR-evasion specialists
- WEB-300 / OSWE — only after OSCP, for AppSec / web-leaning roles
- SOC-200 / OSDA — for blue-team / detection engineers (different track, similar Learn One pricing)
Macksofy's OffSec OSCP track is one of several hands-on tracks Macksofy delivers across India and the UAE. CERT-In empanelled, EC-Council accredited, with weekend cohorts and corporate batches.
